Had the most beautiful dinner here with friends. They had run out of the main course I ordered so I ended up receiving complimentary mushroom risotto which the waiter merely overheard me debating getting it and then it just appeared. Also the playlist was on point for 80s classics by the end the night. Was convinced my dad was controlling it behind the bar or something ????

Fantastic experience at Marea. My partner and I were here celebrating our engagement and the service was impeccable. We were also kindly given free champagne. The restaurant feels classic and stylish with a buzzy atmosphere. Service throughout the evening was perfect. We had a burrata and lobster dish and also a prawn tartare for starters. They were both delicious. We then had a crab pasta and a scallop dish. Both were really good, particularly the crab pasta which was exceptional.

During our visit to Marea, we were able to experience a wonderful evening in every respect: A friendly welcome, extremely courteous service and fine italian dining that meets the highest standards. Simply great what the Marea team achieves with visible pleasure in their profession.

I have the warmest memories of this restaurant! A few years ago, I celebrated my graduation here and had just adopted a puppy. With no one to leave the little guy with, I had to bring him along. Normally, I'm not a fan of taking dogs to fancy places, but leaving my scared puppy at the hotel just didn't feel right. The staff were incredibly kind and understanding, making us feel welcome right away. The food and service were outstanding—far beyond just nice. It's such a shame that this restaurant lost its Michelin star. I really hope they get their two stars back because they truly deserve it.

What a special evening at Marea. It’s long been on my list, and now I see why it is still around. It may be expensive; however, you get what you pay for. We started with cocktails: the Marea Martini is something truly special, so smooth and delicious with a hint of Calabrian chili oil. We then had some oysters (a cucumber and lemon mignonette, unique and delicious) and the hamachi crudo (divine). We split the lobster parpardelle arrabiata (spicy and pasta heaven) and the scallops (huge and sweet and yummy). We ended the meal with an insanely delicious take on tiramisu with a mascarpone gelato that was slightly salty. All in all a wonderful feel and a would DEFINITELY go back.

Food was of course great (the fusilli with octopus was the best), and the service was impeccable!! Everyone was super polite, attentive, and welcoming! One of the best service in the city!

Food 4.0/5.0 Service 4.0/5.0 Value 3.0/5.0 Decor 4.0/5.0 Overall 4.0/5.0 Very good spot for raw seafood and and pasta. Good wine list. Would really one day love to find a non-steak place that serves a good steak - as one would expect, this one was meh. Lots of suits on weekdays.

Food: 4 Value: 4-5 Service + Ambiance: 5 Highlights: Branzino / Sea bass tartare, Foccacia Lowlights: Sides We went to Marea for a nicer date night & dinner, and I'll definitely be coming back. Several parts of dinner were excellent and worth the price, and I'll definitely have an even better meal next time. NOTE - If you have the InKind pass, Marea is an excellent use of the monthly $50 benefit. You can definitely splurge a bit to hit the $150 minimum for two, and with InKind's discount, be able to tip generously and still save vs. paying for it fully out of pocket. THE FOOD - * Branzino Antipasti: This is a sea bass tartare and might be the best tartare or appetizer I can remember eating. I've never had sea bass raw before with the exception of sashimi, but the mix of ingredients between herbs, nuts, radishes, a kick of garlic chili paste, and the fresh fish was mind blowing. Our host offered to split it into two for us and when he brought out the dishes, we thought we'd end up getting charged for two portions because of how sizable each of the halves were...we only got charged for one - amazing * Shrimp gnocchi: Not bad of a dish, but hardly stands out from a restaurant that used to have a star. * Octopus cavatappi: Ordered this because it looked interesting and honestly flavor wasn't bad, but it was a bit salty and felt too salt/umami all in one. Could've benefitted from some fresh ingredients to lighten it up. * Sides: Worst part of the meal. Didn't offer much and we should have gone without them. * Bread: Amazing foccacia. You do have to flag folks down to ask for refills...but it's worth it. The other breads were good but don't hold a candle. THE SERVICE - Staff is kind and helps make it a wonderful experience. We had a great laugh with our host about how it started pouring rain outside during our dinner...then promptly got drenched on our way home. Worth the pain for a great dinner.

Located in a prime location just out of central park, we came after a movie screening at the Paris Theater and was pleasantly surprised at the menu options, non-alcoholic drinks, and desserts. All in all, there were some stars and some which were a little bit too one note. Stars: ricci, gambero rosso Eh: corn rissoto (it was cooked perfectly but wished the corn came out more) Dessert was delicious: i think the toast strawberry dessert could have been executed better because it was hard to share. Maybe it was purposely made that way but idk
